Hannah Ehman is a true genius when it comes to fashion, and a believer that style is an important aspect of life. I am incredibly impressed with her creative mix of vintage and new, as well as her anything goes attitude.

Site I Love: The Clay Pot

Saturday June 27, 2009

I don't actually get to spend much time in Brooklyn, New York, but a friend of mine lives there and has been raving about this jewelry store called The Clay Pot. I keep promising her that I'll go check it out, but in the meantime - the store's website will have to do.

While the site carries a load of cool brands like Alexis Bittar, Me & Ro and Gorjana, I was really impressed with the fact that they have a whole category of 100 items under $50, including these Brazilets bracelets - which are only $5 each. Brazilets are wish bracelets that you wear until they fall off, and then supposedly your wish will come true. I'm going to wish for more jewelry!

Would You Wear Legwarmers?

Wednesday June 24, 2009

It's blazing hot right now, so I was quite surprised to find these $150 Caroline K Legwarmers while I was e-shopping last night.

Price aside, I actually think they look sort of cool - but I can't see very many people wearing them. How about you - would you rock the legwarmer trend?

Is This a Joke? Will Ferrell Sunscreen

Sunday June 21, 2009

The weather is finally getting a little bit warmer here in NYC, so I started working on a story on Must-Have Beach Accessories. While I was e-shopping I came across this Will Ferrell sunscreen, and thought it had to be a gag.

But nope - turns out it's legit. Not only does Ferrell's sunscreen provide SPF 30 sun protection, but proceeds from the product's sale go to support Cancer for College, a charity that gives scholarships to cancer survivors.

Finally! A Fashion Collaboration Worth Buying

Friday June 19, 2009

By now you're probably getting pretty tired of hearing about all the high-end designers that are partnering with affordable companies to create capsule lines. But before you shut me out completely, check out this one from Gap: Indie-cool designers Alexander Wang and Vena Cava have each interpreted Gap's traditional khaki fabric into some really chic, actually wearable designs!

I'm especially smitten with Vena Cava's $88 Khaki Zip Dress. I'm totally going to get one - but I think I'm going to wait until it goes on sale.
