Peplums have been big in fashion since last season, but I feel like this year they're taking on a life of their own and popping up every where! I've always been a big fan of this style; it's very girlish and dainty, but still more structured than most of the popular styles today.  Here are my my favorite peplum skirts and tops on the market right now:

The ASOS CURVE Exclusive Skirt With Peplum Waist ($54.54) is stylish option for a job interview or  anything that requires a more professional look.  It comes in mint and navy but I much prefer the navy, personally.  And size wise, it's mad exclusively in sizes 14-22, making the fit perfect for plus sized fashionista's!

Another favorite of mine, also from ASOS, is the  Top in Animal Print with Peplum ($45.45).  Peplum tops are so much fun because you can pair them with coordinating pencil skirts, skinny jeans or even hot pants.  This  one in particular is great because of the print, and would look fab with a bright colored skinny belt.

Rarely do I find a mid-priced knock off of a higher end item to be comparable to the original, let alone better, but in the case of Steve Madden's "Dynemite" platform sandals, I have to give them the edge over the Prada Peep Toe Sandals (which are conveniently sold out anyways). These super cute shoes are only $99 and come in some amazing colors; my favorites are nude, seafoam green and salmon, which go perfectly with the color palettes that are trending for Summer. My favorite part of Spring fashion is color, and I'm especially loving all the bright palettes that are on trend at the moment -- just about every storefront I pass is merchandising nudes and whites with to-die-for neon yellows, mints and corals.

One thing that has really caught my eye while shopping is all the bright colored canvas tennis shoes -- how sporty and comfy is this trend? They're perfect for pairing with tan linen shorts and packing for your summer vacation.
