Out of the hundreds of students who graduated from the Parsons School of Design in May, only one of the newbie designers managed to be immediately picked up by a major retailer. And that designer is the 24-year old, Iranian born, Nima Taherzadeh. Remember his name because you'll be seeing a lot of it in the days, months and years to come.

His Women's Sportswear line, simply named 'NIMA', has been described as "effortless, simple, functional and modern ", and pieces from the Spring 2007 collection were ordered by Saks 5th Avenue, just in time for the Christmas/New Years shopping rush.
