Veronica Webb Gave Me Some Style Tips!

Monday October 22, 2007

If you took a peek inside my closet, you would see that I have never met a shoe (and boot, wedge, or sandal) that I didn't want to buy! That being said, I'm also a big fan of a bargain, so when I heard about the Shoes on Sale event, I was over the moon. Basically, QVC and FFANY (the Fashion Footwear Association of New York) partner up every year for this one-night sale in New York where 100,000 pairs of designer shoes are sold at half price, and then the money is donated to breast cancer research programs.

So, I strapped on my best pair of Louboutins and strutted over to the swanky Waldorf Astoria hotel on October 17th for the affair, and lemme tell you, it was bananas. I fell in love with a modern gladiator-esque pair of studded sandals from Burberry, and I didn't feel guilty at all about indulging, because I knew my money would be going to charity. I did feel bad about nearly licking my plate when my chocolate mousse dessert was all gone, but it was so yummy!

The party may be over, but here's the best part: You can log on to QVC now and buy some of the very same shoes I was lusting over at half price and help the charity, too!

Also, while I was at the bash, I had a chance to talk to the night's host Veronica Webb (from the show Tim Gunn's Guide to Style), and she raved about how ankle boots were going to be so hot for Fall. Made me think that it's time to check out the best booties of the season!
