I Met Nanette Lepore at Saks Fifth Avenue!

Tuesday November 20, 2007

It wasn't snowing yet in Manhattan, but last night was a winter wonderland as Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled their new holiday window displays! This year's designs were inspired by the children's book Snowpeople, and as such the windows were filled with adorable snow men and women. I had a blast checking out the windows, and while I was there I had the best hot chocolate EVER. But the most exciting part for me was that while I was hanging out I got to chat with fashion designer Nanette Lepore! She is such a girl's girl and totally approachable, so be sure to read my interview filled with Nanette's fashion advice here! And if you don't happen to make your way to NYC this season to check out the display, you can still pick up a copy of the book Snowpeople: It's available exclusively in Saks stores nationwide, and two dollars from every sale will benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. That's my kind of holiday spirit!

Stupidity… everybody dresses like this. You need to stand out. Which led to the revolution of fashion – now it is all about bright clothing and slim jeans.

I personally dressed like this before the change, however I like how people are starting to finally develop a sensible taste in fashion.
