Is the Skull Trend Dead or Alive?

I have to admit that as much as I've tried to fight it, I caved in to the skull-print trend a while back. It started innocently enough with a necklace, then soon spread to a belt, a T-Shirt, and then to a pair of patent leather Loeffler Randall flats that seemed to be glued to my feet. Well, it being the new year, I decided that I was done with anything skull-adorned - until I heard from a pal that none other than Mary-Kate Olsen just bought some $350 Stubbs & Wootton velvet slippers embroidered with skulls and crossed pirate swords. So what's a girl to do?

I think I will stay the course and leave my bad-girl persona in 2007 - right after I wear out these kicky little Draven tennis shoes. At $37.95 they're a lot less than Mary-Kate's fancy footwear, and the hearts on the laces are so darn cute!
