Day 2 of Fashion Week: Rock & Republic

Today the weather decided to give all the fashion show attendees a break, so away went the rain and hello came the style! Whether I was checking out the young indie-cool clothes of Alexander Wang or the jet-set eveningwear of Rock & Republic, I just couldn't get over all the smashing outfits people were wearing - and these were just the folks watching the shows!

One thing I will have to say, though: I'm seeing a lot of girls wearing leggings as pants - and regardless if they have the most amazing bodies in the world (and whether the leggings are made of leather, latex, or cotton) - this look does not work! Please, do not try it at home.

As for the fashions on the runway, I have seen a lot of tuxedo and menswear-inspired get-ups, and LOADS of all-black outfits. The celeb quotient was the highest so far at Rock & Republic, with Christina Millian (right), Ellen Pompeo from Grey's Anatomy, Sophia Bush, Joss Stone, Tyson Beckford and Russell Simmons all perched front row.
