While some of you were probably watching one of the most exciting Super Bowl games ever - go Giants! - I was at a fashion fete for luxe knitwear brand Lutz & Patmos. Designed by two women, Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos, each season the company asks a notable guest designer to team up with them and make one really special piece. In seasons past they have worked with stars like Julianne Moore, Liv Tyler and film director Sophia Coppola, and for fall 2008 they've annointed Kirsten Dunst with the honor.
Tape recorder in hand, I trekked over to the New Museum on the Lower East Side of Manhattan with the hopes of interviewing Ms. Dunst to get the scoop on the creamy cashmere tunic she created for the brand, but alas, she was a no-show. At least I got to meet the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld, and take a peek at the Lutz & Patmos collection - here's a glimpse! But I'm not gonna lie...I would've rather been watching football.
