Day 4 of Fashion Week: Halston

So much fun stuff happened last night during fashion week! I was lucky enough to make my way into the after-party for Halston, and it was a real treat. You're probably too young to know the Halston brand (I am too, actually), but back in the Studio 54 days it was the label to be wearing. Originally designed by Roy Halston Frowick, who passed away in 1990, the name has been re-launched this season by the glamorous trifecta of Tamara Mellon (President of Jimmy Choo), uber-stylist Rachel Zoe and movie producer Harvey Weinstein. With backers like that there's no way Hollywood will ignore this label, so I was pretty sure that the after-party would be hot - and it was!

Held at Don Hill's, an underground glam rock club, the bash started with male models carrying around trays of mini hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches, so I was in heaven. Revelers like model Veronica Webb, Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi and Helena Christensen made the rounds, but I was most excited to see ex-teen heartthrob Christian Slater show up! Apparently he is Tamara Mellon's new beau (when I asked what brought him out he pointed over in her direction and smiled), and the couple was too cute for words all evening. I even snapped a photo of them in mid air-kiss!

i like that famous people are starting to weare glasses like those. I have kind of the same glasses, and i think it would be cool if the nerdy image will disappear. Beceause not everyone looks like a nerd with those glasses.

Dear Jose,
Don’t worry about what others see as fashionable. Be fashion forward- find your own style! Personally, I upgraded my collection of eyeglass frames! Work it! Make it your own!

i think they look really cool, i find that this new trend as sign that things that our parents would be teased for, like nerd glasses, are really appealing to the new generation!!
