I've been following the U.S. Open quite a bit, and there's a new star that's poised to make a big splash in the sneaker world. Nope, it's not Maria Sharapova or Venus Williams - it's 17-year-old Melanie Oudin from Marietta, Georgia.
Not only has Melanie defeated some serious tennis heavyweights (like the aforementioned Sharapova) in this tournament, but she's also been wearing a seriously cool pair of custom pink-and-yellow Adidas sneakers emblazoned with the word "BELIEVE" on them. If you want to get Melanie's kicks for yourself, all you have to do is shell out $140 at Adidas.com and create some "Barricade" sneaks just like hers. Or better yet, you can make up a pair with your favorite colors and inspirational words!
