Will You Wear the "Jegging?"

From Stephanie Prommer, About.com GuideOctober 29, 2009

Follow me on:

I am not the biggest fan of the ubiquitous legging trend (because seriously, do I need to see everyone's rear ends?), but now there's another version that I'm disliking even more: The 'jegging.' Basically it's a pair of leggings that is printed to look like an extra extra extra skinny pair of jeans (jean + legging = jegging), and it looks like this pair from Topshop.

What do you think of the idea?

I have seen this trend lately and to be honest, it grosses me out. And it is hardly has any class or fashionable aspects to it.
Stick with the leggings!

This style isn’t new, it was attempted in the early 90’s. Considering the fact that the only people that would wear them lived in trailer parks, I’m surprised the fashion industry decided to try again.

Uhg, First of I hated the legging trend, the 80s all over again, blah, and skinny jeans, all I can say is they look good on the right type of body, but I dont want to see everones butts, some things are meant to be covered up. Now jeggings, My oh my, I agree totally trailer park. Cant wait until we can move away from all these unflattering 80s styles.

Don’t care what people wear as long as it is comfortable and a bonus if the clothing has function. I just can’t and won’t wear them. I could be wrong but I don’t think many men would wear them.
