Most of us probably won't ever own a Chanel evening gown or quilted handbag (which is totally OK, btw), but there's no doubt that the brand is incredibly influential in the fashion world. The company was created by a woman named Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel back in 1909, which is pretty cool when you think about how few ladies were even attempting to run businesses back then.
I just saw the biopic Coco Before Chanel starring Audrey Tautou, and it reinvigorated my interest in learning about Mademoiselle Chanel. I found this little book called The Gospel According to Coco Chanel: Life Lessons from the World's Most Elegant Woman, and I'm gonna give it a whirl.
