I was shocked and saddened today upon hearing that Lee Alexander McQueen, the British visionary behind the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels, has passed away. McQueen was one of my favorite designers, and visiting his brand's boutique in NYC's Meatpacking District was always a special treat for me - the last time I was there browsing, so was Sting's wife Trudy Styler.
He will be sorely missed among the fashion industry and its admirers.
