It was probably only a matter of time before Madonna had her own fashion brand (H&M collaboration aside), but it was just announced that Madge isn't going the couture route at all: She's enlisted her fabulously stylish 13-year-old daugher Lourdes to start an affordable collection for teens.
Named 'Material Girl,' the line will be launched in August exclusively at Macy's, and the entire collection will range in price from $12-$40 - and that includes handbags, jewelry and accessories.
To bring the new line to fruition Madonna teamed up with clothing juggernaut Iconix - who also makes Rampage, Candie's and Mudd - to create a parent company called MG Icon, and under that umbrella she's also planning to roll out fragrance and beauty lines in 2011.
I haven't glimpsed any of the pieces yet, but I'm excited to see what Material Girl looks like. How about you?
