Killing time in Bloomingdales on 59th Street yesterday, I came across a rack featuring a new collaboration between French fashion designer Catherine Malandrino and music legend Mary J. Blige.  The two teamed up on a series of $39 T-Shirts that feature life-affirming messages like "I'M GOOD" and "I'M WORTHY."

A portion of proceeds from the sale of these tees goes to help Mary J.'s charitable organization called the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), which offers career development, scholarship programs, financial advice and personal growth guidance to women.

I didn't realize that the two ladies were so close, but apparently Malandrino serves on the board of FFAWN and Mary J. is a regular fixture at Catherine's runway shows.  It's really inspiring to see two powerful, creative women pairing up to do something that benefits so many. Girl power!
