The 40th anniversary of Earth Day is coming up on April 22nd, so that means I've been inundated with press releases about eco-friendly products. Most of them don't quite cut the fashion mustard to me, but when I saw this Sprout line of watches I was immediately smitten.

Most of the actual watch is made from natural items; for example, the case and buckle are composed of corn resin, the strap is organic cotton and the dial's bamboo. The battery is mercury free, and even the packaging is made of recycled materials; if you plant the box, it will 'sprout' into a patch of grass!

Eco-friendliness aside, I'm digging the look of the line, like the Round Case Watch (pictured, above). Most importantly, at $30 the price ain't too shabby, either.

I ordered a red and blue version from Amazon.com and LOVE it! The smaller version is perfect for my small wrist. :)
