If you're like me, you probably go to Forever 21 all the time. But did you know that the brand has two young sisters that basically run things behind-the-scenes? There was a great article in the Los Angeles Times recently about Linda (pictured, left) and Esther Chang, who are the daughters of the brand's founder and now head up the marketing and visuals departments, respectively. The coolest part is that Linda is 28, and Esther is only 23!
I'm really impressed with these ladies, because although their dad did start the company, they admit that they work their tails off. What's their motivation? "I love it when people come out of our stores being so happy," Linda said. "You go into some places and buy one item, and come out thinking, 'Should I have gotten that?' But our customers don't have to feel that way. They can spend $100 and get a ton of cute things."
Forever 21 also recently announced its first designer collaboration - a collection of graphic tees from Lady Gaga fave designer Brian Lichtenberg, so look for those coming your way soon.
