Way back in May of '09, there was a little pair of Buckle Wedges designed by Chloe Sevigny for the store Opening Ceremony (pictured, below) that I absolutely fell in love with. They were unlike anything I'd ever seen before, and lots of people must've agreed with me because there was a wait list to pre-order a pair - for a whopping $625.

This season there are lots of shoe designers following in Chloe's multi-buckled footsteps, for a lot less dough. For example, there's the Jeffrey Campbell for Free People "Buckle Up Wedge" (below) for $228...

The dv by Dolce Vita "Messina" for $115...

And the Dollhouse "Alley" ankle boot for $56.95. In my opinion the Alley actually looks the most like Chloe's original shoe and the price is certainly the best, so I might just buy myself a pair. What do you think of this trend?
