I'm sure you've heard of the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and the devastation to area wildlife that has happened as a result. Well, magazine journalist Cindy BeMent and her 10-year-old daughter, Alexa, have decided to do something about it.
In addition to publishing an ocean conservation blog called Oceans4Ever, the duo has created a series of wristlets with handbag designer Borsa Bella Designs that benefits the International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC),
the organization in charge of capturing and cleaning oiled birds in the Gulf. They're selling these wristlets (examples pictured, below) to help the organization rebuild the future of these affected birds.

The wristlets come in three prints and two shapes, and sell for $25 and $32 each. You can also purchase an optional shoulder strap for $5.
