Pop goddess Katy Perry performed a top-secret surprise performance today in Times Square (gasp) -- and I was actually there! Volkswagen invited Katy to introduce the launch of the new 2011 Jetta to the world, and she did it by singing three of her best songs: "I Kissed a Girl," "Hot N Cold" and "California Gurls."
Katy rocked out in a skintight micro minidress by Abigail Greydanus for Syren Latex printed with vibrant palm trees (pictured, above), complete with fuchsia lipstick and sky-high pink stiletto heels.
The whole performance was amazing, but my favorite part was at the end of "California Gurls" when Katy kicked off her shoes and actually danced on the hood of the new car! It was so silly and cute -- typical Katy Perry style.
Why combine VW and Perry, you ask? Well, the new Jetta has a lower introductory price point of $16,000, which I'm guessing the car company believes will be attractive to younger people (likely Katy Perry fans).
And not that it matters, but I just want to throw it out there that Katy is in absolutely incredible shape and is even more beautiful in person than in photos. She makes me want to wear neon!
