Although I admittedly love shopping, there's nothing better to me than reading a breezy book on a lazy Sunday. If you're a fashion lover in the sixth grade or above, The Allegra Biscotti Collection might be a good choice.
The book is about a shy eighth-grader named Emma Rose who loves to make spectacular clothing out of vintage finds. When a top magazine editor spies one of her creations, Emma panics and creates an alter ego named Allegra Biscotti, a sophisticated, worldly (and grown up!) fashion designer.
The story follows Emma as she tries to balance following her dreams of becoming a fashion designer with keeping her big secret from the magazine editor and her friends.
