Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has had long black, red and blonde tresses in the past, so it's not a total shock to see her debut a new hairstyle every once and a while. But when the singer/actress chopped off her locks completely, it still seemed like a big transformation.
Ash is a mom to son Bronx, so maybe she needed a less fussy look - but perhaps she was just sick of taking care of her long hair and wanted a change.
