If you're looking for an alternative to the silly band, I think you should check out these two new bracelet trends. The first is the Flip Flop Bracelet (an assortment pictured above), which are made from recycled flip flop materials by a fair trade company in South Africa. Each one is different and you never know what color you're going to get, but they're only 95 cents each - so it's worth stocking up to see!

Another trendy new style of bauble is the Pura Vida Bracelet (above). Pura Vida (which means pure life in Spanish) jewelry is all handmade in Costa Rica, and they come in all sorts of colors. At $6.95 each these are also affordable, and even better - a percentage of profits goes to the Surfider Foundation, a grass roots organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the oceans and beaches worldwide.
