Today is Mattel's Ken doll's 50th birthday - can you believe that? Barbie actually had her 52nd birthday on March 9th, but this year it's all about celebrating her guy.
To honor the occasion, Mattel has released a $44.95 "Happy Birthday, Ken" Barbie doll (pictured above), dressed in Ken's signature blue and holding a gift for him.
According to doll designer Linda Kyaw, "Because she's such a fashionista, Barbie wanted to wear the most glamorous and modern gown she owned, inspired by Ken's signature color: Cyan. And of course, her dress features adorable details like his signature plaid delicately placed on her organza bodice, perfectly tied with a ribbon around her waist. That same ribbon is used to tie that perfect giftbox Barbie has for Ken. I wanted to bring signature Ken in every way possible to this doll."
And although we obviously can't really date Ken, there's always the cheeky $18 "Why Can't All Men Be Like Ken" T-shirt...
