About.com Guide to Teen Fashion

Stephanie is currently the fashion editor of Woman's World and is also a nightlife and red carpet reporter for People magazine, where she frequently interviews celebrities and fashion designers.

Experience:

Prior to her work with Woman's World, she held the post of fashion writer at Life & Style Weekly, a magazine devoted to celebrity style, as well as contributing writer for Pink magazine and Howcast.com. Additionally, she is a busy fashion stylist, her work gracing the pages of Shape, Working Mother, Woman's World, Pink, and Fit Pregnancy magazines.

Education:

Stephanie earned a B.A. at Indiana University, got her law degree at Columbia, passed the New York Bar, and went straight to practicing law at a prestigious firm in Manhattan. Feeling the need to express her creativity, she forged a path into fashion journalism, and in a short time worked her way to the position of Fashion & Beauty Editor at Working Mother magazine, where she started as an intern.

From Stephanie Prommer:

When my mom put me on the bus in a hot pink beret at the age of 6 - and I was teased all the way to school - I learned that style is all about taking risks and making mistakes. Fashion is supposed to be fun, and the teen years are the perfect time to experiment and find the looks that you're passionate about. Although I have a lot of experience in the fashion industry, I'm still not that old, so I will continue to enjoy making my share of fashion faux-pas and sharing them with you. I hope you'll do the same!
