Touring right now with Cheetah Girls, this trio of 14-year-old Destinee Monroe, her 12-year-old sister Paris and their best friend 14-year-old Ariel Moore are going to be BIG - and I was lucky enough to get to interview them about their fashion styles! How Would You Guys Describe Your Style?
Photo © Clique Girlz.Paris: Our style is a twist of a couple of things like Glam/Rock/Pop. We like to incorporate a lot of sparkle and bling but lately we haven't been oversaturating our clothes with rhinestones.
What's Your Favorite Article of Clothing, and Why?
Destinee: We are all really obsessed with shoes.What are Your Favorite Brands or Stores to Shop In?
Ariel: We really like the brands LeROK, Club Monaco, Ella Moss, and Juicy Couture. We also like shopping at department stores so we have a variety of clothes like Macy's, Bloomingdales, and Nordstrom.Do You Work With Stylists, or Do You Choose Your Own Outfits?
Ariel: Our manager is our stylist, but we always help and sometimes design our outfits. We have to feel comfortable in anything we wear.Has Your Style Changed Since Becoming Stars?
Paris: Slightly, now that we're getting older our style has been becoming a little more 'sophisticated' than before.Do You Have Any Style Icons?
Paris: We actually each have our own symbols and favorite colors. My symbol is the princess crown and my favorite color is pink, Destinee's symbol is the star and her favorite color is blue, and Ariel's symbol is the heart and her favorite color is purple. We like to use our symbols as style icons in our outfits.What Advice Would You Give Your Fans About Having Great Style?
Destinee: Remember to be yourself, but it never hurts to add a little sparkle - whether it's gluing rhinestones to your favorite shoes, or adding some sparkly iron-on patches to your jeans. The possibilities are endless!
