Daisy Fuentes is a style powerhouse not only in the modeling world but also as the designer of a namesake clothing and accessories collection for Kohl's. The Cuban-born beauty has graced magazine covers and hosted beauty pageants and MTV shows, so she knows plenty about fashion - and is thankfully willing to share her informed opinion. Here is my interview with fashion designer and model Daisy Fuentes:
How did you decide to create a fashion collection with Kohl's?

Daisy: My TV career has always involved fashion, beauty, and glamour in one way or another...from House of Style on MTV to Style World on WE to Ultimate Style on the Style Network.
How involved are you personally with your Kohl's line?

How did you get your inspiration for the collection?
From my closet mostly. I like modern yet classic styles. I'm inspired by the fabulous women I know who do it all and want to look gorgeous doing it. I like creating affordable pieces that also mix well with high end fashions. I love the confidence a great, sexy style gives a woman.Do you have advice for teens that want to become models or fashion designers?
Remember that the journey is different for everyone. Just get involved. Prepare yourself, and try to get your foot in the door even if it's as an intern. Anything that you see yourself doing can become your reality. Make sure every step you take goes in that direction. Find out how others you admire have done it and get inspiration from that. Don't obsess, have fun, be true to yourself.
