Designer Profile: Tori Spelling for HSN

About Tori :

Tori Spelling is a media darling from 90210 and her show Inn Love, but she's also a really talented jewelry designer! One of the exciting things about her collection for HSN is that although she could've created pieces that were ultra-expensive, Tori decided to create baubles that are easy-to-wear and affordable.

How She Got Started with HSN:

I had the chance to ask Tori about her new line of jewelry for HSN, and she told me how the collaboration started. Tori explained: "For the last 5 years I've had a high-end boutique jewelry line called Maven that sells in LA and NYC. The 'Tori Spelling Collection' for HSN came about because I decided that I wanted to be able to share my designs with everyone everywhere at affordable prices, so I went into business with HSN."

Her Inspirations:

Even though she's a busy red carpet fixture, Tori is incredibly hands-on with her line. "I design the line myself. Its very important to me to share pieces with people that I myself want to wear," she said. When asked about what inspires her designs, Tori shared that "Vintage pieces are a huge inspiration for me, and I love goldtone metals with semi precious stones. I love jewelry and believe that it's good for the soul, especially at such affordable prices."

Girl Power:

Not only beautiful to look at, Tori really wants her jewelry to make women feel great. "The right pieces can be a total confidence booster. I'm all about women feeling good about themselves," she said, adding "My pieces can either complement a look or make a look. I wanted women to be able to have that red carpet glam but at very affordable prices. You shouldn't have to break the bank to look amazing!"

Since she has been in creative businesses practically her whole life, Tori is really encouraging to other artistically-minded people. She said: "My advice to young designers out there is to follow your dreams. Trust your fashion instinct and never let anyone change your vision. Designing is a true passion and should always remain fun and your vision!"
