About Tori : We all adore Tori Spelling from 90210 (and now her show Inn Love), but she's also a really talented jewelry designer! The best part about her new collection for HSN (the Home Shopping Network) is that although she could've created pieces that were super-expensive, she decided to make baubles that are actually affordable. Love it!
How She Got Started with HSN: I had the chance to ask Tori about her new line of jewelry for HSN, and she told me how the collaboration started. Tori says: "For the last 5 years I've had a high end boutique jewelry line called Maven that sells in LA and NYC. The 'Tori Spelling Collection' for HSN came about because I decided that I wanted to be able to share my designs with everyone everywhere at affordable prices, so I went into business with HSN." How awesome is that?
Her Inspirations: Even though she's a Hollywood icon, Tori is incredibly hands-on with her line. She says: "I design the line myself. Its very important to me to share pieces with people that I myself want to wear." When asked about what inspires her designs, she shared that "vintage pieces are a huge inspiration for me, and I love gold tone metals with semi precious stones. I love jewelry and believe that its good for the soul, especially at such affordable prices!"
Girl Power: Not only just beautiful to look at, Tori really wants her jewelry to make women feel great. She says that "the right pieces can be a total confidence booster. I'm all about women feeling good about themselves. My pieces can either complement a look or make a look. I wanted women to be able to have that red carpet glam but at very affordable prices. You shouldn't have to break the bank to look amazing!"
Tori's Words of Wisdom: Since she has been in creative businesses practically her whole life, Tori is really encouraging to other artistically-minded people. She says: "My advice to young designers out there is to follow your dreams. Trust your fashion instinct and never let anyone change your vision. Designing is a true passion and should always remain fun and your vision!" Spoken like a true fashion maven.
