About Shane Cisneros: If you're a fan of Leven Rambin from All My Children like I am, then you realize that the 17-year-old has amazing style in real life. Well, you can partially thank her long-time stylist Shane Cisneros for that! I caught up with Shane and Leven at the opening of the Blue & Cream store in NYC, and the duo explained how they work together to create Leven's look.
How Shane and Leven Met: She's pretty new on the scene, but Leven and Shane have actually been working together for about a year and a half now! When I asked how they got connected to each other, Leven said: "We met at Teen People magazine. When I did the '20 Teens Saving the World,' he styled me for that event." "And then we've worked together ever since," Shane added.
Leven's Personal Style: Since she always looks great, I asked Leven to describe her style and she said: "My style is trendy, but with my own personal touch at the same time. I have staples that I always like to wear with the latest trends, and interesting pieces that stand out." Leven admits that she relies on Shane for style advice, saying that "He helps me out with what is a no-no, what is too much and what's too much accessories." She says that Shane will tell her things like: "That does not go, you need more leg, whatever! He's always the one that calls me out and says 'Keep it down a notch.'"
How Shane Dresses Leven: When I asked Shane about working with Leven, he said that "the really great thing about Leven is that she's really directional and she knows what she wants. Since we have been working together for so long and pretty much exclusively, I really know her personal style inside and out, so I know when I go into a showroom whether she's going to like this or that. It's kind of a stylist's job to push your client a little bit to take more chances and think about things in different ways. She has such impeccable taste for someone so young to begin with, which is great. It's nice that she already understands scaling back."
Shane and Leven's Favorite Brands : When I met Leven she was looking fierce in a Cynthia Steffe leather jacket, an Izzy Gold top, a Roberto Cavalli for H&M necklace and a Lia Sophia ring (which she says is her "favorite jewelry"). Other than those brands, Shane likes to dress Leven in labels like Marchesa, L.A.M.B., Yigal Azrouel, Bill Blass and YSL.
Leven's Style Inspirations: Shane is a big influence on Leven's style, but she also likes to find fashion ideas on her own. She says: "I usually look to magazines - that's where I get a lot of my inspiration from. And I always go to the shows so I know what I will like to wear in the future."
