One of the old guards in luxury goods, a man named Louis Vuitton opened his own namesake store in Paris in 1854, and the rest is history. The monogram canvas that is now identified with the brand was created in 1896 by Louis' son Georges Vuitton, and is used on one of their most famous designs, the Speedy. Created as a reinterpretation of the Louis Vuitton keepall travel bag, the Speedy comes in different sizes, but the 30 is especially classic.
