A relatively young designer in the scheme of things, Marc Jacobs only introduced his first handbag collection in the fall of 2000 but has already established himself as one of the big boys. The Stam bag, recognizable by its quilted leather frame and detachable gold chain (that is quite heavy), is the must-have in the collection, and is reinterpreted in different colors nearly every season.
