Roberto Cavalli

Born in 1940 in Florence, Italy, Roberto Cavalli enrolled at age 17 in the Institute of Art of Florence. Cavalli specialized in applying paint to fabrics, and experimented with new technologies until he created a revolutionary printing procedure on leather, for which he received a patent. By the age of thirty, Cavalli presented his first clothing collection, and in 1998 he launched a diffusion line called Just Cavalli. After this came a line of children's clothing and two underwear collections, as well as beachwear, shoes, eyeglasses, watches, perfumes, an interior design line, and a limited-edition collection for H&M. Cavalli currently lives in Florence with his wife Eva Duringer (who is a former Miss Universe) and their three children.
