Ten Affordable Designer Items!

From , former About.com Guide

If you're a label lover, you know that designer items are not cheap. But some brands are starting to figure out that not everyone has thousands of dollars to blow and are making fun items that are actually (kinda) affordable! Here are ten of my favorite picks that have all the flash, without costing so much cash. Take note if you have a birthday coming up!

1. Missoni Home Collection "Giacomo Hand Towel," $15 and Bath Towel, $42

I can't get enough of Missoni's crazy colors and prints, but their clothes are crazily expensive. Not so with these towels, though; they're 100% cotton, machine washable, and priced low enough to stock up on!

2. Juicy Couture "Starter Charm Bracelet," $35

Fancy charm bracelets can cost a pretty penny, so just do what I do and buy the bracelet without all the charms – they make too much noise when you move anyway! This one by Juicy is 14K-gold-plated and is still budget-friendly.

3. Christian Dior "Dior Pretty Charms" Lip Gloss, $55

Dior dresses run in the thousands of dollars, but the line's makeup is equally stylish and much more affordable. This cool duo of shimmery pink lip glosses comes in a crystal-studded heart locket, so it'll make you feel extra cool if you ever have to touch up your lipstick in public.

4. Chanel "Coco Mademoiselle" Eau de Toilette Spray, $60 for 1.7 Ounces

Inspired by a young Coco Chanel (the founder of the brand), this yummy fragrance is much lighter and modern than the classic Chanel scents. It's perfect for a sassy, savvy girl that wants to make a statement.

5. Emilio Pucci "Moire Print Cotton Scarf," $60

Nothing beats a timeless Pucci print, and this 17.75-inch square scarf is a great way to own a piece from the label. I think it'll look especially sweet knotted on your purse handle.

6. Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Pack of 3 Socks, $60

I know…$20 is not that cheap for one pair of socks, but these Sonia Rykiel cuties are too much fun to resist! Plus, they have a touch of stretchy Elastane, which will help them keep their shape even after multiple wearings.

7. Stella McCartney Logo Keychain, $80

Stella McCartney isn't just the daughter of ex-Beatle Paul – she's a funky fashion dynamo! This 3.5-inch-long enamel keychain is a perfect way to show your allegiance to her red-hot brand.

8. MARC by Marc Jacobs "Fan Necklace," $91.95

My friends and I are all obsessed with Marc Jacobs and for good reason – the man just knows what a girl wants to wear! This whimsical necklace is no exception: The antiqued brass letters on a 17-inch-long chain will add the finishing touch to all of your flirty frocks.

9. Vivienne Westwood Red Label "Diamante Skull Earrings," $130

Vivienne Westwood is practically the originator of British punk fashion, and she was doing the skull thing long before everyone else decided it was cool. These half-inch long silver earrings studded with crystals are a perfect way to funk up a little black dress.

10. Burberry Earmuffs in Trench, $135

I have to admit that I have these earmuffs and I l-o-v-e them! They're available in 7 different color combos, so if your friends get them too you won't have to worry about being matchy-matchy.
