Now please don't get me wrong, I'm all about freedom of expression, but even the most gorgeous teen celebrity suffers from a bad outfit choice every once and awhile! And while these starlets are all probably wonderful people (and it's what's inside that counts, right?), here are my picks for the five worst dressed teens of the year.
5. Taylor Momsen

I absolutely adore Gossip Girl's Taylor Momsen (not to mention how much I'm obsessed with her new show), but it seems like the 14-year-old blonde has been looking like a walking Barbie doll lately - especially in this cotton candy frock! Although she's been acting for several years, Taylor is pretty new to the red carpet game, so I'm going to cut her some slack this time.
4. Emma Watson

She's only 17, but when Harry Potter star Emma Watson hits the red carpet, she looks like she's much older – and not in a good way! Her dresses are usually super-conservative and equally expensive - like this black number she donned on October 9th – but they don't really do her justice. Emma should try out some brightly-colored accessories and a messy up-do next time.
3. JoJo

Pop star Joanna 'JoJo' Levesque may have a powerhouse voice, but the 16-year-old's petite five-foot-three inch frame can get overwhelmed in the wrong choice of clothing. Since the crazily colorful printed dress she wore at the Heatherette fashion show on September 11th was a bit too much for her, JoJo would benefit from solid-hued, fitted pieces that complement her shape.
2. Miley Cyrus

As much as it achy-breaks my heart to say it, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus sometimes looks like a little girl playing dress-up when she hits the red carpet. At only 14 years old (15 on November 23rd), Miley has some time to grow into her own personal style, but the Emilio Covin mini with the plunging neckline she wore to the Teen Choice Awards on August 26th seemed a little too adult for her image. When asked about her dress at the event, Miley said: "It's something Italian. I don't really know 'cause a girl from Tennessee can't really say that kind of stuff." See, even she didn't know what she was wearing!

It's gotta be tough having ultra-glamorous mom Demi Moore to live up to, but it seems like 17-year-old Rumer Willis has just thrown in the towel when it comes to fashion! Rumer is incredibly gorgeous, but you would never know it by all the frumpy clothes she layers on. Maybe some dark skinny jeans paired with a slim belted sweater would be a fresh change from the shlumpy outfit she donned on October 16th.
