I'm not sure if you remember, but Kira Plastinina is a Russian teenager and designer that created a splash in 2009 with a namesake fashion line and series of boutiques. Unfortunately her stores in the United States closed not long after they opened, but Kira is back and has announced that she will be showing a collection at the upcoming New York Fashion Week.
The new collection will likely be under the LUBLU name, which Kira founded in 2008 and debuted in Milan. Inspired by her own lifestyle, Kira says she designs fashions for girls that are on-trend. "I want to design clothes that can keep up with my hectic lifestyle and I create each collection by envisaging exactly how I would look in every single garment," she says.
I don't have a clue as to what the new collection will look like, but I'm rooting for Kira and hope that her show is a success.
